SAYEGH, GEORGE, D.B.A.
Dean of College of Business
Dr. Sayegh received his Doctorate in Business Administration and Information Systems from Argosy University Orange County in 2009, a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and Business Management degree from Mercy College in 2000, a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from California State University, Northridge, in 1990, an Associate of Science degree in Engineering in 1983, and an Associate of Science degree in Electronics Technology and Computers from Moorpark College in 1982.
Dr. Sayegh has conducted postgraduate research in speech recognition for improving medical productivity among physicians, and has co-authored 2 published papers in the areas of Information Systems and Applications in the Medical Field, and Mobile Work and Wireless Companies.
In addition to owning and operating a Computer Retail & Consulting company, Professor Sayegh has been employed by such organizations as NASA at JPL , Wangtek Drive Systems, Ferranti Aerospace Missile Systems, Hewlett Packard, Computer City, Micropolis Drive Systems, Mercy College, National University, Hope International University, and Argosy University.
Professor Sayegh has taught classes in Computer Science and Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Technology and Business, Mathematics, Business, Financial Management, Critical Thinking and Planning, and Management and Leadership.

DAVIDSON, JOSH, M.B.A., Ph.D. Candidate
Associate Dean of College of Business
Professor Davidson received his Master of Business Administration in 2007 from the University of Phoenix and is currently a candidate for a Doctorate in Philosophy in Organization and Management at Capella University. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Harding University in 2003.
He spent time as a general assignments reporter for the ABC News in Grand Junction, CO before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in business. Professor Davidson has held numerous management positions, specializing in guest relations and business operations for the Walt Disney Company and the Hilton Hotel Corporation. Currently, he manages a team of writing specialists involved in developing operations and training content for the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.
In addition to his work at Disney, Professor Davidson serves as the managing consultant for Davidson Small Business Systems, where he works with small and medium sized companies to increase operations efficiency.

BRASFIELD, GIOVANNA, D.P.A., Ed.D.
Professor of Business
Dr. Brasfield received her Doctorate in Public Administration from the University of La Verne in 2006, while simultaneously starting and completing her second doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership in 2007. Dr. Brasfield holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Mount St. Mary’s and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She is also a graduate of the Los Angeles African American Women Public Policy Institute (LAAAWPPI).
Dr. Brasfield is a Certified NxLevel Business Instructor. She has over 12 years of experience in marketing, market research, and business development. She is the founder of Brasfield & Associates Marketing, a marketing consulting company that offers a broad range of marketing, event and sales consulting services. Dr. Brasfield has more than a decade of increasingly responsible experience in community capacity building as a business service program developer and strategist. She has created and implemented several programs related to youth, young adults, business-financial expansion and enrollment management.
In 2007, Dr. Brasfield partnered with the El Camino College Small Business Development (ECC SBDC) to develop the Youth Entrepreneur Program (YEP), a no-cost youth and young adult program that will provide entrepreneurial opportunities for ages 14 to 27. In addition, Dr. Brasfield aided the ECC SBDC in managing the California Construction Contracting Program (CCP), a government contracting program for minority and women-owned businesses.
Dr. Brasfield was the Lead Organizer for the South Los Angeles Jefferson Office for the California Democratic Party (CDP) in 2006; and was awarded for her civic engagement by the CDP as a recipient of the John F. Kennedy Jr. Award for Outstanding Public Service in 2007. She was also awarded Female Democrat of the Year for the 52nd Assembly District in 2008. Dr. Brasfield was the Past Ballot Measure Committee Co-Chair for the Los Angeles County Democratic Party (LACDP), Past Treasurer for the California Democratic Party- African American Caucus (2008-2009), and Financial Secretary for the Los Angeles African American Women Public Action Committee (2009-Present). She was also a Commissioner for the Compton Unified School District Bond Oversight Committee (2008-2009), a Member of the Sisters of the Academy Institute, a founder of the Consortium of American Schools, Colleges, and Universities, a Corporate Member of the Regional Black Chamber of Commerce, and a Member of the American Society of Public Administration.

Associate Professor of Business
Dr. De Sarro received a Doctorate in Education in Human Performance Technology (HPT) from Indiana University in 2008, along with a Master of Business Administration from California State Polytechnic University in 2005. Dr. De Sarro’s professional interests are in Dissemination Science, Diffusion Research, Human Performance Technology (HPT), Organizational Learning, Actionable Knowledge, Instructional Systems Design (ISD), Training Evaluation, Blended Learning, CBT, WBT, Learning Theory, Instructional Methods, Performance Innovations, Performance Improvement, Knowledge Management (KM), Change Management, Needs Analysis, Process Analysis, and Process Improvement.
Dr. De Sarro has previously been a member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI), and a board member of the local Los Angeles chapter of ISPI. His professional experiences include manufacturing, retail sales, public education, international import and export, restaurant management, and more recently real estate, mortgage brokerage, management and performance consulting. The settings range from large multi-national corporations to state bureaucracies and mid to small businesses.

GUIGNARD, JEANNETTE, Ed.D.
Associate Professor of Business
Dr. Guignard received her Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology in 2010. She also holds a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California Polytechnic University. She has over 17 years of administrative, management, and marketing experience.
Currently, she is a consultant specializing in corporate training. Before working full time in professional corporate training and higher education, she spent 10 years in the Electronics Industry working with major Aerospace and Defense manufacturers. During that time, her responsibilities included maintaining and growing customer relationships, and playing a key role in organizational development and training new employees. Her passion is teaching and training in order to help individuals develop their leadership and management skills and achieve their own professional goals.

WILLS, LESLIE, Ph.D.
Associate Professor of Business
Dr. Wills received her Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from the University of LaVerne and her Master of Business Administration from Webster University. She received her Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Phoenix. Leslie has substantial experience working with various levels of leaders and aspiring leaders.
She has worked with leading technology companies, including Lockheed Martin Information Technology, as well as NASA. She also has considerable experience working for non-profit organizations and has taught Business courses at Webster University. Her latest publication is entitled Which Way Is Up?: Examining the Degree of Influence Various Factors Have On the Professional Advancement of African-American Women

TAN, KRISTY, M.B.A., Ph.D. Candidate
Associate Professor of Business
Professor Tan received her Master in Business Administration at Deakin University in Australia and is currently a candidate for a Doctorate in Philosophy at the International School of Management. Professor Tan is an experienced and multi-lingual professional with exposure to international organizations based in U.S.A., China, Canada, Japan, and many others. She has over nineteen years of diverse corporate experience including accounting, finance, strategic leadership, organizational development, project management, process improvement, and financial system implementation.
Professor Tan is currently the principal for KST Consulting, LLC where she provides coaching to the senior executive and management team. She also led a team of 25 professionals in a successful organizational change initiative.

QUIMPO, EVANGELINE, M.S., M.A.
Associate Professor of Business
Professor Quimpo received her Master of Arts in Public Management from the Development Academy of the Philippines in 1996. Her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology was obtained from the Philippine Normal University in 1982. She also took several units towards her Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology in 1986 from the University of Santo Tomas.
Recently, she finished her Associate in Arts degree in Paralegal Studies from Fremont College in Cerritos, CA, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Aside from teaching at Irvine University, Professor Quimpo is also an Adjunct faculty instructor at Nobel University, American International University, and Kingston University. She also owns a small independent Paralegal Business in Long Beach.

ZEUTHEN, LENORE, M.B.A.
Assistant Professor of Business
Professor Zeuthen received a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing from UCLA Anderson School of Management in 2002, and a Bachelor of Arts in Modern European History from Brown University. She has taught graduate level courses in marketing, advertising, organizational behavior, and sales management at Irvine University since 2009. She also serves as the Director of Academic Affairs and as an advisory committee member of Irvine University.
Professor Zeuthen’s past professional experience includes working with major corporations and national organizations, such as Napster, KCET-TV, Hewlett Packard, Museum of Arts and Design, and the New York Botanical Garden.

NORDIN, ROSS, M.B.A.
Assistant Professor of Business
Professor Nordin received a Master of Business Administration from University of Michigan in 2006 and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Western Ontario in 1982. Since 2009 he has taught courses in marketing, advertising, organizational behavior, and sales management at Irvine University.
Professor Nordin’s past and current professional work spans a wide range of industries, including business consulting, retail business, management, telecommunication start-ups, and manufacturing in the United States and overseas. His most current publication is a book on drug policy, entitled Voices from the Inside: Case Studies from a Tennessee Women’s Prison, which he co-authored. He is also on the board of two non-profits that are active in delivering education for financial literacy and providing services to help minorities retain their homes.

HARRIS, MADELENE, M.B.A.
Assistant Professor of Business
Professor Harris received a Master of Business Administration from UCLA Anderson School of Management in 1990 and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Occidental College, CA. She has taught business courses in information systems management, strategy, entrepreneurship, and statistics at Irvine University since 2009.
She has taught Business courses in the past at California Polytechnic University, Marylhurst University, and Mt. Saint Mary’s College. Professor Harris has worked as a business systems analyst for various organizations, including Fidelity National Title Group, Beckman Coulter, Inc, National Cancer Institute, Toyoto Motor Sales, Walt Disney Consumer Products, and SIBS Heath Care Management.

CHAN, STEPHEN H., M.B.A.
Assistant Professor of Business
Professor Chan received his Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University in 1991 and his C.P.A. License in 1982.
Since 1994, Professor Chan has held a partnership with Grand Central Square, a $60 million commercial residential, parking, and office complex, where he manages the finance and accounting department.
For the last 25 years, Professor Chan has specialized in financial accounting and managing, including preparing financial statements, audit schedules, corporate and partnership tax returns, real estate accounting, construction accounting, and other various financial advisements.

MATAI, SEEMA, M.B.A.
Assistant Professor of Business
Professor Matai received her Master of Business Administration from UC Riverside and her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from UC Santa Barbara. While attending UC Santa Barbara, she participated in the National Television Violence Study (NTVS) commissioned by Senator Paul Simon.
At Riverside, she taught and assisted in instruction of Marketing, Market Research, Consumer Behavior, and Business Strategy. Her Master’s Thesis was on Linux and its application in the field of Retail Technology. She also conducted projects for multi-million dollar corporations such as Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, and Epson and Icee.
After completing her Master of Business Administration, she entered the Internet industry as an Auctions Manager. She moved from the Internet industry to J.D. Power and Associates to conduct automotive studies. While there, she worked closely with large-scale organizations such as Nissan, Volkswagon, Subaru and Daimler Chrysler. Today, Subaru still remains one of Professor Matai’s clients.
In April of 2002, she began her own venture called Interactive Focus, where she offers online focus group testing and reporting to businesses as well as customized marketing programs for small to medium sized businesses. Professor Matai’s professional awards include: The Bank of Achievement Award in Business, The Santa Barbara Industry and Educational Council and Business Award, Soroptomist’s Young Woman of the Year for Southern California; UCSB Department of Communication Award Outstanding Community Service Award; 2005 Nominee San Fernando Valley Business Journal Women Who Mean Business Award.

SHU, STEVE, M.B.A, M.E.
Assistant Professor of Business
Professor Shu received an Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago in 1999 and both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University in 1991. He is a management consultant and business development professional with over eighteen years of industry experience with specialties in business strategy, marketing and provides both interim management and business strategy, marketing, finance, and operations consulting services to clients. Specialty sectors include high-tech, software, services, communication/telecom, startups, and growth-phase companies.
Professor Shu has held a number of consulting and management roles, including as a principal consultant with Nortel Business Consulting where he incubated the business and led the carrier practice to provide services such as business and marketing plan development and spectrum valuation. He also served as the Vice President of Operations and Business Development for FiveSight (acquired by Intalio) where he played a lead role in obtaining both corporate venture capital financing and new clients. As COO for 21Publish, he also helped with international expansion.

ANDERSON, KARL ANDY, M.A.
Assistant Professor of Business
Professor Anderson received a Master of Arts in Organizational Development from Fielding Graduate University, a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from California State University, Fullerton, and a Bachelor of Arts in Agricultural Studies from Delaware Valley College. Professor Anderson has presented at numerous workshops and seminars for the Project Management Institute. With 22 years of technology and business solution experience as a project producer, Professor Anderson has an exceptional broad range of hands-on expertise and experience implementing sound project practices for countless businesses.
Professor Anderson’s past work experience includes performing large, small, and multiple projects for various organizations, including Valent Pharmaceutical, Amgen, GE Energy, Los Angeles Police Department, 24 Hour Fitness, Johns Manville, Rockwell Semiconductors, Qualcomm, Intuit, Cendant, Qwest Communications, ICG Telecom Group, The Walt Disney Studios, City and County of San Francisco, and many others.
Professor Anderson has also designed and initiated a pharmaceutical tech transfer project for 80 products, a $30 million product line creating 40 project time-lines, and working with the supply manager and marketing team to develop 12 new products.

BRADLEY, ALEXANDER, M.B.A.
Associate Professor of Business
Professor Bradley received his Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University in 1977 and a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from San Diego State University in 1960. Throughout the course of his career, Alex also attained many other industrial certificates, including Cisco Router Configuration, CDP, CNE, and Network+. Professor Bradley has taught for the past 25 years. While teaching Non-parametric Statistics for the Department of Agriculture, he traveled as a visiting lecturer around the world at various universities.
Professor Bradley has been president for a range of business organizations, including Custom Information Systems, Netus Corporation, and National Digital Corporation. He also founded his own business companies: ROM Memories and Vanguard Data Systems. His combined work and teaching experience has provoked a desire in him to continue to pass on his knowledge to current students.

PETERSON, ROSALIE, M.S., Ed.D. Candidate
Assistant Professor of Business
Professor Peterson received her Master of Science in Leadership and Management from the University of LaVerne and her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from California State University, Fullerton. She is currently a second year candidate for a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology. She is a seasoned Human Resources professional and respected business leader with substantial experience in supporting learning environments and leadership development.
Over the last twelve years, Professor Peterson has worked with several leading Fortune 500 companies such as, American Express, Target Distribution and Grainger Industrial Supplies. Her culminating research project in 2010 focused on the ethical and legal implications of the use of social media in the hiring decisions of potential employees.
