PROFICIENCY REQUIRED
No applicant is admissible unless she/he can demonstrate
proficiency in the English language. At the Department of
Admissions’ discretion, proficiency may be demonstrated
by: 1) writing sample, 2) personal interview, nature of
current employment, or 3) special examinations.

CONDUCT
Students must arrive on time for all lectures. Students
must satisfactorily complete all required assignments in
order to receive a passing grade for the course. Students
must behave properly and courteously with fellow students
as well as the University's faculty and administration.
DRESS
CODE
Irvine University's goal is to prepare its students to be
professionals. As such, Irvine University encourages its
students to dress appropriately and professionally in order
to present a professional image as a future attorney. There
is to be no smoking or drinking on University premises.
POSTERS,
NOTICES, HANDBILLS

Except as permitted, no poster, handbill, or any other
form of announcement or statement may be placed on, attached
to, or written on any structure or natural feature of
the campus such as the sides of doors or buildings, windows,
the surface of walkways or roads, fountains, posts, waste
receptacles, trees, or stakes.
- Employees
of the University, currently enrolled students, and registered
organizations may have non-commercial announcements posted
on the University's general-purpose bulletin boards. The
names of all employees, students, and/or registered student
organizations must be prominently displayed on all announcements.
- Employees
of the University, currently enrolled students, and registered
organizations may distribute free non-commercial announcements,
statements, or materials at any outdoor area on the campus
consistent with the orderly conduct of University affairs,
the maintenance of University property, and the free flow
of traffic and persons. The names of all employees, students,
and/or registered student organizations must be prominently
displayed on all announcements. Efforts must be made to
avoid litter. Distribution by means of accosting individuals
or by hawking or shouting is prohibited.
NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY

of mission, purpose, and objectives. Study at University
requires a high level of proficiency in the English language.
The University does not provide English language instruction,
nor does it offer visa services.

POLICY
STATEMENT ON SMOKING
For the health and safety of all students, staff, and faculty,
non-smoking signs are posted on the premises. Irvine University
will continue to seek assistance from local health inspectors
to ensure a healthful environment for the students. The
Irvine University is committed to a healthful environment
for all members of the community at all locations. Smoking
of any material is prohibited in all University facilities,
and University owned vehicles. Smoking includes the burning
of any type of lighted pipe, cigar, cigarette, or any other
smoking equipment, whether filled with tobacco or any other
type of material.

FIRE
AND SAFETY
Irvine University is interested in the safety of all members
of the University community. Tampering with safety equipment
including fire alarms or fire extinguishers or jeopardizing
the safety of others is considered a serious matter. Safety
procedures have been developed for fire drills, evacuation
of buildings because of bomb threat, and offering emergency
assistance to students injured or taken ill suddenly. Flammable
liquids, fireworks, weapons, open as well as charcoal fires,
candles, incense burners, and torchiere style halogen lamps
are prohibited. State and federal regulations and codes
are followed, especially in settings where hazardous materials
are used or stored.
