Irvine University (IU) encourages the use of this site and other IU sites, regardless of domain address, as a way to share information and knowledge in support of the University's mission of education and public service. These sites are owned by IU. Site content is subject to change without notice. While most sites are publicly accessible, certain services and information offered on-line may be restricted to specific users or segments of the IU population.

This website is provided as a resource for general information for members of the public.  The information on these web pages is subject to change at any time and may be incomplete and/or may contain errors.  You should not rely on these pages without first consulting a qualified representative of Irvine University.

 In no event shall Irvine University or its Boards of Directors, officers, or be liable for any damages whatsoever, including, without limitation, incidental and consequential damages, lost profits or damages resulting from the availability, use, reliance on or inability to use this websites, or lost data or business interruptions arising from use of or inability to use this website, whether based on warranty, contract, tort or any other legal theory, and whether or not Irvine University is advised of the possibility of such damages.

Content
Consistent with University policies and regulations, IU upholds the principles of academic freedom and shared governance, freedom of speech, and privacy in the use of electronic resources by our faculty, students and staff. The IU web space contains official pages in support of the core mission of the University or related administrative business. It also contains Web pages generated by groups or individuals whose expressed views do not necessarily represent the views of IU. The University does not actively monitor or control web content. However, when the University receives a notification of an alleged violation of law or policy, we investigate and address violations accordingly.

Privacy: The IU Gateway and Other Sites
The IU gateway site, www.irvineuniversity.edu , collects information to improve functionality and content and to monitor performance. Data is used to help answer specific questions about the usage and performance of the web site or individual web pages. At no time is site usage associated with individual IP addresses. IU works in a distributed information technology environment; therefore, policies and procedures for other web sites may vary. If there are questions, visitors should contact the specific department, unit or organization that maintains the site.

IU Name and Trademark
IU, Irvine University®, and all related trademarks are the property of Irvine University. IU names and trademarks may not be used by third parties without specific written permission. Other trademarks, service marks, and trade names used in the www.irvineuniversity.edu web space are the property of their respective owners.

IU complies with the provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you have a concern regarding the use of copyrighted material on any site on the www.irvineuniversity.edu network, please contact the agent designated to respond to reports alleging copyright infringement.

Endorsements
Links from a web site located on a IU server to any non-university site do not imply University endorsement of the site's products or services. References to non- IU products, services, or organizations do not imply University endorsement of such products, services, or organizations.

Collection of your Personal Information
On the contact page, IU collects personal information, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address, or telephone number. There is also statistical information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by IU and may be shared with other web sites within the IU family of web sites. This information may include: your IP address, which is a number used by computers on the network to identify your computer so that data can be transmitted to you, your browser type, domain names, the time you accessed our web site, and referring web site addresses. This information is used by IU for the operation of the web site service, to maintain quality of the web site service, and to provide general statistics regarding the use of IU web sites.
